The Sony Ericsson W595 Silver offers excellent functionality as well as Walkman capabilities

The Sony Ericsson W595 Silver is an established handset that has been a popular phone for some time. Offering some of Sony's most functions, including an impressive Walkman player, this handset offers affordable luxury. The handset measures 100 mm by 47 mm wide and is 14 mm thick. It is a slider style phone
with a variety of buttons on the front for navigating through the functionality in a user-friendly way.

The handset comes with a 2.2 inch TFT display screen, which is able to display excellent colourful imagery due to the fact that it is capable of displaying 256,000 colours at a pixel resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. In addition, an accelerometer
sensor, auto rotates imagery dependent upon the aspect of the image and the orientation of the phone.

The Sony Ericsson W595 Silver offers an array of functionality which includes a Walkman player and stereo FM radio. As is usual with a Sony handset, trackID music
recognition, SensMe and shake control are provided. The stereo FM radio offers alternative sound bites should an alternative to downloaded music be required. The handset comes with a 40 MB internal memory, however most packages include a 2 GB card which can be used in the memory stick micro card slot. Further expansion up to 8 GB is available if desired.

The phone comes with a 3.15 mega pixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. In addition, the camera is able to record video at QVGA quality and at 15 frames per second. Video calling, which has become a popular feature in many handsets, is also provided within this phone. As an addition to the cameras features, the handset also provides a picture editor, which allows editing of imagery on-the-fly.

Communication options included within this handset include GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Blue tooth and USB. This multitude of connectivity options provides the ability to surf the web, share files and also download and synchronise files with a PC.

The Sony W595 Silver comes with vibration and ring alert types, as well as the ability to download polyphonic, MP3 and AAC ringtones. This allows the user to individualise the handset with ringtones of their own desire. A speakerphone, which comes with stereo speakers is also provided and ensures hands-free communication is available if required. The handset comes in numerous colours apart from silver, these include lava black, cosmopolitan white and peachy pink.
