iPhone and Mobile Applications in 2010

2009 has been the year for Apple's iPhone, in 2010 will see businesses develop more applications to enrich their clients experience when consuming their products or services. The iPhone has not only revolutionised the way mobile phones function, but
it has changed the way large businesses want to sell products.
iPhones can help businesses in many different ways but the main two are - they can be your business or they can help you business. Applets or Apps as they are known can really enhance the way you offer your products or services below are some key
benefits of iPhone and mobile applications:

Ease of Access iPhone and mobile applications enable stakeholders, employees, suppliers and clients to access information quickly over the internet whilst being remote. Both large and small businesses now understand the benefits of mobile
applications and how they can be utilised for enhancing business process. Employee productivity and accountability, eradicating duplication, speeding up information flow, and selling products are just some immediate benefits an organisation can gain.
Growth Market The market for iPhone and mobile development is still in embryonic stage, it is yet to mature and therefore is growing at a phenomenal rate. This growth means opportunity for businesses as iPhone and mobile application development are definitely the "flavour of the month". It has been reported by Apple that over 500 million applications were downloaded from the Apps Store which resulted in over a Billion USD of revenue. Other operators in the mobile application space are fiercely trying to compete with Apple iPhone applications. Microsoft Windows Mobile, Blackberry RIM and Google Android and Symbian - Mainly Nokia, have all made jumped on the App store band wagon.

Richer Applications Over and above other mobile application platforms, as mentioned above, the iPhone's success no doubt has been because of its user interface. It has allowed developers, businesses and ultimately consumers to have and amazing interactive experience on a mobile phone. The iPhone's interface has is ground breaking, we are now seeing computer monitor manufacturers adopt and replicate this technology for household PC's and laptops. This has allowed businesses to develop
interactive rich, but yet thin applications, consumers can have the same level of functionality as they would do when they logon on to a traditional website. The net result is that more and more organisations are turning to mobile applications and
devices such as the iPhone to sell their products and services; they see this as an additional revenue stream.

Market Shift The power of technology has moved rapidly to the palm. As consumers we demand information instantly and we consume it even quicker. Only a few years ago we logged on to the internet via our home PC's now we can log on using our mobile phones from practically anywhere in the world. We can access email, watch movies, book hotels/holidays, buy tickets and even meet new people all from our mobile phone. The iPhone is at the forefront of mobile application development, it has turned technology that was once used for business into technology that is now used by consumers. It is now the consumer which is driving and expanding the boundaries of mobile development. The businesses that recognise are the ones who will be profitable and rise head and shoulders over their competitors.

Samsung S5150 Diva Coming on January

The Samsung S5150 Diva first appeared as the Olivia during the promotions for the Samsung Corby (Corby is also called Genio in the UK). This evidently female-focused phone has now been formally announced with the Diva tag and is one of the devices
in the series (the other being the S7070).

It is not surprising that Samsung is still targeting the GSM market. For the same reason that Nokia is still producing cheap 2G devices -there is a demand. Plenty of people still do not fuss about having a mobile phone with lots of features; or a
high price tag. This market would gladly buy a cheap device that has plenty of useful features. With the S5150's features and style, Samsung definitely delivered a great GSM device with this one.

Women in Mind

A woman's phone has to be more than just good looks, after all, like real women, even the pretty ones get boring when they are hollow on the inside. Samsung has chosen to deliver both form and function with their Diva series. It would not be surprising to know that it is women who came up with the features in the
device as we can see that both the Fake Calls feature and the Etiquette Mode function will see a lot of practical usage.

Etiquette Mode is simply a quick silent-switch. Most devices will require you to navigate a little in order to change the profile settings from loud to discreet to silent. Of course, this will require that the user be looking at the phone screen.
There are however moments that would restrict you from fishing out your phone from a purse or even glancing at it from your pocket. This is where the etiquette mode comes in, by allowing you to instantly switch to silent; you can save yourself from
the embarrassment of having a phone ring at an inconvenient time.

Fake Calls is perfect when you want calls to get you out of an inconvenient time. If you feel that a quick meeting will extend well past lunch, the common solution is to have a friend "stage" a phone call in order for you to get out of the meeting. Fake
Calls is instant, allowing you to achieve the same results without the need of a friend to initiate a call. Of course, there are plenty of other ways to use this function, but the essence is the same, giving women an excuse for themselves, either temporarily or fully.

Phone Specs

The Samsung S5150 Diva will come with a 2.2 inch TFT display. The screen may seem small, but a close look at the phone shows that it makes the most of the upper part of the device. It has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and will have a color capacity of 16 million colors. The device also comes with a built-in 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and video capturing capability (QVGA quality).

Coming in January

The phone is expected to arrive on retail by January 2010 in Russia, Ukraine, Netherlands, and in Europe. No word yet if any carriers will be getting this device.

How to transfer iTunes Music Video Movie to HTC Hero, HTC touch?

If you have an old iPod Touch, you often purchase songs or movie from iTunes online store, now you got a Christmas gift- a new HTC Hero Phone and want to transfer iTunes music to your HTC Hero Phone free of change, is it possible?

As we known, the iTunes Store is a software-based online digital media store operated by Apple Inc. one of the biggest disadvantages in iTunes is that the music and videos that you purchased has DRM protection added onto them. You are unable to
put the iTunes music onto HTC Hero directly unless you remove DRM protection first.

To remove DRM Protection, there are many methods, such as CD burning and ripping and so on. This article presents you an easy way: using software, such as Wondershare music Converter to convert your protected files to DRM-free ones. This software is
especially useful for alleviating compatibility issues.

Here is the step by step tutorial for the program:

Step 1: Free download Wondershare media Converter install and run it.

Step 2: when come to the main interface, you can directly drag-drop target media file to the conversion window, or click the 'Add' button to import the target files.

Step 3: Choose the format you'd like to get. There are a list of output formats. Since HTC Touch phones play video of MP4, 3GP, click 'settings' to go to the output reference settings board showing like the picture bellow(generally MP4 is preferable with better picture quality), then the Bit Rate, sample rate, channel, and Encoder as well for output file quality and size.

Step 4: Last thing; click the start button, and the DRM removing process is beginning. After converting, the files are DRM-ripped. You can view your converted files by press the browse button, or you can choose to turn off computer after
conversion.

Step 5: When conversion done, you can transfer iTunes music movie to HTC Hero /HTC touch according to the user guide, Connect HTC Hero to computer via USB cable and then drag and drop the converted files into the right folder of the Memory card. Now you can play iTunes music on your HTC Hero /HTC with freedom.

Tips: This method works also for music video movie downloaded from other online stores like Windows Media Center, Zune Marketplace, Napster, Rhapsody, Nokia Music Store, Spiralfrog, Bearshare, eMusic, Puretracks, MusicGiants, CinemaNow Movielink,
Amazon Unbox etc, as well as your home-made movie shot with camcorder or something else.
