Widescreen technology within the LG BL40 Chocolate makes a difference

The LG BL40 is one of the first mobile phones to offer widescreen technology. This is one of its main benefits. With more and more video media being supplied in this format, it means effective viewing is possible. The phones impressive screen is adequately complimented by the plethora of features that adorn this excellent example of a mobile phone.

Widescreen technology incorporated into the 4 inch TFT touch screen is an excellent feature. The screen is able to display 16 million colours at a size of 345 x 800 pixels, which means images are portrayed in true life like colour, as well as being
clear and crisp to view. Accessing functionality is simple by virtue of the S class touch user interface and the multi touch input method employed by the phone. Additional tools provided include an accelerometer and proximity sensors.

The LG BL40 Chocolate comes complete with GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and HSDPA as well Wi-Fi. This offers, amongst other things, internet access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and the ability to access hot spots where available. Blue tooth and microUSB provide the means to share files and synchronise with a PC. GPS provides satellite navigation when required and comes with A-GPS support.

The phones camera is a 5 mega pixel camera which incorporates Schneider-Kreuznach optics and operates at a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. To help the user to take effective pictures, the phone comes with auto focus, face, smile and blink detection,
geo tagging as well as an LED flash. Video recording and playback is provided at VGA quality and at 30 frames per second for those who prefer that method of imagery.

Musical entertainment is offered through the phones integrated MP3/MP4 player and stereo FM radio. The player will play the majority of audio and video files whilst the radio can provide the opportunity to access local and national radio stations.

The BL40 Chocolate is a slim line handset at 10 mm thick, but its oblong shape makes it an unusual looking mobile phone. This is necessary to allow the widescreen element to be effective. The phone is a comprehensive handset and one which appeals to the populous.
