The impressive Toshiba TG01 receives rave reviews

The Toshiba TG01 on the face of it looks like a PDA. There is a genuine reason for this and that is that it meant to. It would be simpler to describe this as a PDA that also happens to make and receive phone calls. But that is the ingenuity that Toshiba have prescribed to, by offering this handset. The majority of mobile phones are phones with bolt on additions which hardly get used, this phone is different. Its aim is simple to be a handy and relevant work and play tool which will also keep you in touch with whoever wishes to call.

The overriding factor which brings you to that assumption is the large and powerful 4.1 inch TFT resistive touch screen. It displays 256,000 colours and is the central navigation and access point for everything the phone offers. Through its responsive touch sensitive 3D user interface the user can seamlessly move around the internal features with ease. The addition of shake control simply adds to the delight of using
this phone. One feature which is appearing in many phones currently is the accelerometer sensor. This is a useful feature which auto rotates images to their correct aspect without any need for user intervention.

The Toshiba TG01 incorporates a large number of connection options which include GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and the all important HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections. Internet connectivity is provided through its own connection as well as offering nationally
available hot spots to be used, which are generally located in places where the general public and business people congregate.

The camera integrated into the phone is a 3.15 mega pixel camera. It is good enough to take excellent quality images for viewing at any time. The camera operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Auto focus is included within the package as a
means to try to effectively add to the possibility of producing quality images. The phones camera doubles up as the means of recording Video. This is at VGA quality and operates at 30 frames per second. Video calling is also available on this phone should its owner wish to use that facility.

The Toshiba TG01 is a comprehensive unit which uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD2850 1 GHz processor and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system as its mainstay or base of operations. It is a stable and reliable handset with a plethora of features. Its smart phone status is assured and as has already been seen, has received some glowing reviews and justifiably so.
