The budget Samsung E1100 offers a cost effective solution

The Samsung E1100 is a simple phone with a cost effective price tag. Budget priced would be another accurate description. The phone has no airs and graces, it provides limited functionality within a solidly built outer casing which is typical of this
price conscious style of phone. It is 105 mm x 44 mm wide and is 14 mm thick. The handset weighs 70 grams which is extremely lightweight.

The phone has a 1.5 inch CSTN display screen. The screen operates at 128 x 128 pixels in size and displays 65,000 colours with aplomb. Navigation around its features is provided by a way multi-directional button on the front of the phone. The
phone offers vibration and ring alerts with the ability to use downloaded polyphonic and MP3 ringtones to give some semblance of individuality.

The phone comes with EDGE and the standard GPRS connections, both of which are class 10. This offers connectivity to be able to perform numerous tasks. Additional tools include a flash light, which in itself is a useful tool when low light conditions prevail. For keeping track of important events and appointments or simply for scheduling, a handy organiser is provided. Whilst the inclusion of a voice memo function is always a welcome addition and ensures that notes and important information can be retained without the need to locate a pen and paper.

The Samsung E1100 comes with a standard Li-Po 750 mAh battery which provides up to 250 hours of standby and up to 6 hours of talk time. This ensures that the user is not required to recharge the handset as often as other units. SMS and a WAP browser are also included.

The Samsung E1100, unlike its counterpart the Samsung Jet, offers limited options when it comes to features, however it should be borne in mind that this is a budget
handset, usually bought as a replacement or secondary phone. For the price, this phone offers excellent build quality with a range of useful features.
